CERES - Environmental Park
In the last two years, CERES has demonstrated its strong local focus while engaging in far-reaching partnerships around Victoria with government, communities and businesses.
CERES now generates $4 million a year and spends it all on community environmental initiatives such as a new community centre, new water saving projects on-site, new education programs for schools and communities, new environmental businesses and organic farming enterprises.
CERES is an excellent example of sustainability principles in use at a grass roots level. A strong integration of the community and strong focus on schools and an excellent example of a self supporting community based organisation.
