Kangan Batman TAFE

The new state-of-the-art Automotive Centre of Excellence at Docklands is the epitome of sustainable design and innovation. The Centre is the first educational institution granted a 5 Star Green rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.

The clever design of the ACE ensures that it only consumes half the average energy consumption of a typical Melbourne office building, effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 103 tonnes per year.

ACE at Docklands is home to Victoria’s largest automotive training provider, Kangan Batman TAFE. Through the signing of a sustainability Covenant with the EPA, Kangan Batman TAFE has embarked on a series of projects which in the long term will help the TAFE become a model of sustainable business practice for the Vocational Education and Training sector.
