One of Australia’s largest diversified listed property groups, the GPT group has achieved substantial eco-efficiency savings across Victoria through retro-fitting, refurbishment, and development and innovation in its properties. In 2008 GPT diverted waste sent to landfill by 22 per cent, off a 2005 baseline. They achieved a recycling rate of 40 per cent, a 10 per cent reduction in water consumption, and a 24 per cent reduction in energy use in light of increasing their leasable space and productivity.
