Entry for the 2013 Premier’s Sustainability Awards is now open, and closes at 2.00 pm Monday 15 July 2013.

The Premier’s Sustainability Awards are Victoria’s most prestigious sustainability awards program.

The awards acknowledge sustainability leadership and innovation demonstrated by government, institutions, businesses, community groups and individuals.

The Premier’s Sustainability Award – a sustainable piece of history.

The award is made from recycled materials central to Melbourne’s heritage.
The uprights are made from Victorian Ash reclaimed from a damaged W Class tram that has been used over time as a source of parts to ensure the W Class stays on the tracks.

The timber base has been saved from the Princes Pier restoration. The Princes Pier in Port Melbourne played a key role for Australia in the First and Second World Wars. The award plaques are made from salvaged brass offcuts and the Award is housed in a recycled paperboard case.
